February 23rd, the NBA trade deadline, is right around the corner and rumors are beginning to swirl. Every year, hundreds on hundreds of rumors begin to take shape. Most of the rumors are started by members of the media thirsty for a story to write about, but lately there has been one particular one that seems to hold more weight than every other rumor out there.

Being reported by Bleacher Report, NBC, and is the possibility of a big Jah trade to the New Orleans Pelicans. This needs to happen before this dude eliminates all value he has.The writing has been on the wall for quite some time now, more so this season with the way Nerlens and Joel have played.

Drafted 3rd overall in the 2015 NBA draft behind Karl-Anthony Towns (beast) and D’Angelo “snitches get stitches” Russell,  we were forced to settle. Leading up to the draft it looked like we were finally going to get a solid point guard in Russell until the Lakers decided to take him. HOW COULD THEY DO THAT TO US. But yeah, get this man out of here.

Lets be realistic, we are not getting much for him. He is not an awful player, just more one dimensional who should just come off the bench. If we do get a deal with the Pelicans, we obviously are not getting Anthony Davis. It appears the Sixers are more interested in draft pick compensation, more likely a first rounder that is not ruined with over bearing protection. A player to keep an eye on is Alexis Ajinca who has admitted to being unhappy with the team and said a trade would be the “only solution.”

Lets hope Okafor gets dealt relatively soon, I am tired of waiting. This entire team has been one big waiting game. For all we know I could be writing this article and Noel could be the one to get traded, what do I know? Hopefully something is done by the deadline, time is ticking.
